Our Dobson Ranch Mesa Team

  • Julie-Rae & Dr. Rob Steinmeyer Owners

Life presents opportunities every day, yet many people hesitate to prioritize health—for themselves and their pets. My passion is educating individuals and communities to promote, maintain, and improve healthy lifestyles for both humans and their furry companions, a commitment deeply reflected in my own life.

An athlete at heart, I have completed an Ironman right here in Arizona, along with several Half Ironmans—including one through a winery with my husband! I’m also a top-ranked Elite Stair Climber. Beyond fitness, my husband, Rob Steinmeyer, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.), and I love road-tripping to destinations that include the ocean and wineries.

Rob and I share a deep love for animals and the mission of Camp Bow Wow. When I first opened Camp, we had seven dogs and a cat; currently, we have five incredible rescue pups. With my background in corporate wellness, the opportunity to start this franchise came at the perfect time, opening countless doors for us.

Since opening in August 2019 at 2647 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, Arizona, Camp Bow Wow has proudly served the Dobson Ranch community, providing top-quality pet care and actively participating in local events and adoption programs. Pet parents trust Camp Bow Wow to offer a safe, loving environment for their furry family members—whether for a day of play or an extended stay. I find joy in sharing my knowledge, educating the community, and bringing people together through our shared love for animals.

  • Ashton Gregor General Manager

Ashton has been a part of Camp Bow Wow since 2018, working her way up from the yards to Lead, and now Manager. A proud dog mom to four beautiful fur babies, she was born and raised in Arizona and has always had a deep love and passion for animals. She treats every pup at Camp as if they were her own, ensuring they receive the best care and attention.

Ashton also values building strong bonds with pet parents, helping them feel safe and confident when leaving their furry family members in our care.

In her spare time, she enjoys going to church, playing video games, and spending quality time with her family. We’re lucky to have her as part of our team!

  • Ellie Rodriguez Back of House Manager

Ellie joined Camp Bow Wow as a Camp Counselor in late November 2023, bringing a lifelong passion for dogs with her. Having grown up surrounded by pups, her love for animals has always been a big part of her life. Through her hard work and dedication, she recently earned a well-deserved promotion to Back of House Manager.

Although Ellie doesn’t have any pets at home, she cares for every dog at Camp as if they were her own. Her commitment to their well-being and happiness makes her an invaluable part of our team!

  • Haley Wachira Front of House Manager

Haley joined our team in July 2024 and has been an invaluable part of Camp ever since! She goes above and beyond in everything she does, from working the front of the house to leading and supervising the yards. Her dedication ensures that every pup has an exceptional experience, treating each one as if they were her own.

A true animal lover, Haley has three dogs—including a recent rescue—and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys ice skating (even though it's been a while!), hiking, and taking her pups for a swim. We're so lucky to have her as part of our Camp family!
