Our Greenville Team

  • Jason and Scarlett Owner

Coming from a chemical engineering background, Jason was excited to put the corporate world away and pursue his dream of owning his own business with his wife of 23 years, Scarlett. Scarlett had a strong background in the animal care industry as a vet tech. Scarlett was one of the first to open a mobile grooming business in SE Louisiana in 2004 which quickly prompted them into joining the Camp Bow Wow Family after a few years of running her own business. Jason and Scarlett are excited to be a part of Camp Bow Wow and grow their small business footprint throughout the southeast. Jason and Scarlett share their passion for Camp Bow Wow with their three dogs and three children.

  • Barbara Assistant Manager

I have worked at Camp Bow Wow for 4 years, and I have worked with animals for 6. I love watching the dogs grow up and watching the nervous dogs gain confidence as they continue to come and play at Camp! In my free time I enjoy visiting with friends and family, reading and watching tv shows. At home I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 goats. Hawk and Malachi are both Husky’s, Mist and Rain- Rover are orange tabby’s, and Commander is my lap goat! If I were a dog I would be a Shar-Pei.

  • Deb Dog Trainer

    Skills and Experience

Background: I have worked at Camp Bow Wow for 2 ½ years, and I have been training for almost 2 now. I love working with dogs, they make everyday fun and adventurous. I have 2 dogs, M.J. who is a chihuahua and Dexter who is a pit mix. M.J. is my kayaking captain and “the boss” while Dexter is my big sweet boy who always shares his bones with his little sister. My hobbies are kayaking, camping and critters. I have had many types of animals… Horses, squirrels, birds and many different farm animals. If I were a dog I would be a poodle! Fluffy, bouncy, and spoiled, very spoiled!

What I love most about my job: Being able to have a relationship with both the dogs, and their owners is the best part of my job. This job lets you get to know each of these dogs personally, and I love seeing them grow and change over the years.

What is your favorite breed of dog: My favorite breed is the English Bulldog. I haven't had the pleasure of owning one yet but I will one day! There is something about their wrinkles and "go with the flow" attitude that I just can't get enough of.

  • Nate Camp Supervisor

    Skills and Experience

Background: I am from the DC area of northern Virginia where I initially attended college with a major in physics, but I left school after deciding that was more of an interest rather than something I wanted to pursue as a career. Having had a lifelong affinity for animals, I got my first real job at an animal shelter. I've moved around a bit over the years, but have always worked with dogs wherever I land. Eventually I wound up here in Greenville and found Camp Bow Wow right away. I've worked in every department in camp, from counselor and bather to team lead, and when the opportunity arose to branch into training I happily accepted the challenge.

Hobbies outside of work: I enjoy getting out exploring nature or smaller quiet social gatherings, but I also need my hermit time to myself just reading, meditating, listening to podcasts and lectures on a wide variety of topics, or playing video games.

    Fun Facts

What I love most about my job: Working with dogs is engaging and rewarding. In camp you get to know so many dogs that you look forward to seeing every day, while training allows you to spend that quality one-on-one time with dogs and work with them to overcome challenges, enrich their lives, or just have fun learning new tricks.

My pets: I am between dogs at the moment, but I have a 13 year old kitten who refuses to age.

If your were a dog, which breed would you be: I would be a shikoku. They tend to be stoic and guarded on the surface, but when they get to know you they will reveal a more goofy and fun-loving side, and once they accept you as their own you will have a loyal ally for life.
