Anita OwnerFeeling peace of mind as a pet parent at Camp Bow Wow, Anita Sahoo decided to jump over the fence to franchise owner. With a pack of visionary Camp Counselors and the inspiration of her two pups, Tikka and Mirchi, Camp Bow Wow Henderson opened March 2014. Anita is fascinated by the human-canine relationship. “My pups are my kids!” exclaims Anita. Once fearful of pups, she learned that a nurtured, exercised, and socialized pup is an unconditionally loving, loyal, and dedicated family member. Camp Bow Wow helps make this happen. "Treating pups like our own children, not only enhances and enriches their lives, but also our own lives. Every day, I realize I am fortunate to be a part of so many pups’ and parents’ lives. I see every pup at Camp Bow Wow Henderson like my own, I look forward to getting to know you and your pup, and give you peace of mind when you can’t be with your pup."

Deeanna General Manager
I’ve been part of the Camp family since April 2015, and it has been an amazing journey! This is my first job working with dogs, and I couldn’t be happier. Before joining Camp, I worked at a casino, but nothing compares to the joy of spending my days with furry friends.
I’m certified in pet first aid and CPR and trained in dog behavior and play yard management. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is watching our regular pups learn and grow while helping new campers feel comfortable and excited about making new fur-riends. Camp has been the greatest job I’ve ever had, allowing me to grow and teaching me so much about caring for our four-legged guests.
At home, I have a Chihuahua named Abel and a bunny named Bean—my little fur-kids who make life even more special. I’m also a proud mom to my 2-year-old son, who loves visiting Camp and seeing what his mom does every day!

Jennifer Head Front DeskJennifer has been a Front Desk Lead with us since a little earlier this year. She wanted to work with us because of her love for dogs and customer service. She loves helping pawrents become more comfortable trusting their fur babies with us. Her favorite part about the job is seeing the pups grow and become more comfortable with being here and getting to know their pawrents. Working here, she has learned the importance of being patient, kind, and caring to all the pups and treating them as one of her own. Jennifer's most significant advice is to give your pup time to adjust. Being away from pawrents can be a big step for some dogs. Jennifer has two dogs, Nella and Tazz. Nella is a two-and-a-half-year-old Italian Greyhound. She is crazy, energetic, and very loving. Tazz is an eight-year-old Dachshund Manchester Terrier Mix who enjoys playing with his sister, playing catch, and chasing hose. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her son, dogs, and husband in her free time. Together, they love to go on walks every night and play games.

Tessa Front Desk
Tessa has been working the Front Desk with us since April 2022. She wanted to work with us because loves the environment and being able to be around dogs all day. She is pet CPR certified and took an online training course to start working with the Campers. Her favorite part of the job is being able to build relationships with both dogs and pawrents. Though she doesn't work one on one with the pups, they are still a big part of her day. She loves being able to see them first thing in the morning and how excited they get to play with their friends. She also loves seeing the younger Campers grow and mature. Her biggest advice for dog parents is to understand that their pup is not an exact copy of other dogs they've had or met. Every dog is different and figuring out those quirks and understanding them is necessary. Tessa has three dogs, Dixie, Lyric, & Rue. Dixie is a very stubborn Basset Hound mix, Lyric is a Shitzu with a great attitude, and Rue is a tiny but mighty alpha (mixed breed but mostly Chihuahua). In Tessa's free time, she likes spending timee by herself. Though she loves spending time with family and friends, she also loves laying in bed with a good book. She's also a full time student which takes up most of her time. She also enjoys doing nails and watching movies.
