Camp Bow Wow Kansas City Northland's dog training services are designed to forge a healthy bond between you and your pup. Our premier dog training services offer variety, flexibility, and can cater to your dog’s specific needs. Our goal is to help you and your pup establish clear communication and enjoy working together. We believe training is a life-long process and should be both fun and challenging.

The training we offer is based on scientifically proven methodology and aligns with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA^®), the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), and other established animal welfare organizations.

Training Program & Services

Regardless of age or experience, all dogs can benefit from learning. Whether your pup is starting out with the basics, you want to brush up on previously learned skills, or you’re ready to up the challenge with your pup, our training services can accommodate your needs.

Group Classes

Camp Bow Wow’s group classes include a variety of programs for all skill levels. Our obedience program is split into multiple levels, so pups start with the basics and increase the difficulty through each level as you and your dog progress. Other group classes include tricks, leash-walking skills, CGC prep, and more!

The three levels of our obedience classes are:

Level I—Basic: Builds the foundation of reliable commands like sit, down, leave it, come when called, and leash walking.
Level II—Intermediate: Learn how to get your dog to heel by your side, go to their mat, and add distance plus distractions to all their behaviors.
Level III—Public Polishing/CGC Prep: This level teaches your dog to sit when you greet a stranger, heel in a crowd, and more. They will now be prepared for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam.

In-Camp & Private Training

Camp Bow Wow Kansas City Northland offers several options for pet parents who prefer their pup receives private training. Our Certified Trainers can work with your dog while they attend Camp, spending one-on-one time with them teaching behaviors you would like to work on. We can also provide training services for you and your dog in a private setting, based on your needs.

Group Dog Training Classes	Price
Puppy Socialization - 1 Hour Group Session Puppy social for puppies up to 4 months. Age appropriate vaccinations required. Must be current on Distemper and Bordetella shots for puppies up to 4 months. 4 months and older, must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella.	$25.00
Level I – Basic Puppy Training 6 week class for puppies 10 weeks - 4 months. Basic manners and behavioral issues. Age appropriate vaccinations required. Must be current on Distemper and Bordetella shots for puppies up to 4 months. 4 months and older, must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. Absolutely No Refunds will be given after the 1st class has been taken.	$300.00
Level I – Basic Adult Dog Training 6 week class for dogs over 4 months. Basic manners and behavioral issues. Age appropriate vaccinations required. Must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. Absolutely No Refunds will be given after the 1st class has been taken.	$300.00
Level II - Advanced Dog Training 6 week class for dogs over 4 months. Advanced behavior skills like heel, place, distractions, etc.... Age appropriate vaccinations required - must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. Prerequisite of Level 1 or trainer approval required for Level II training. Absolutely No Refunds will be given after the 1st class has been taken.	$300.00
Level III - Public Polishing / Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) 6 week class with intense focus on solidifying behaviors. Can be used as prep for Canine Good Citizen test. Must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. Prerequisite of Level II or trainer approval required for Level III training. Absolutely No Refunds will be given after the 1st class has been taken.	$360.00

In-Camp Training

Price

Play and Train - 30 Minute Session and Full Day of Camp Play and Train sessions are focused on the specific needs of the pup with 30 minutes of 1 on 1 time with our trainer. Before and after the training the pup will enjoy all day play time at Camp.

Stay and Train - 3 week program Our Stay and Train package your pup will board with us for two weeks, while they get 1 on 1 training with our staff trainer each day. Pup will start with Level I basic behaviors and advance to Level II skills. At the end of the two weeks your pup will return home. The third week you and your pup will attend three 30 min follow up sessions with our trainer to reinforce the skills taught during their two week stay. A 50% non-refundable deposit must be made when signing up.
