Our Lee's Summit Team

We're Josh and Ashley. We love our 2 dogs just as much as we love our 3 kids. We also love to travel. It's easy to bring our children on trips, but flying with 2 German Shepherds is difficult. Over the years we tried a lot of boarding options in the area and have been less than excited to leave our dogs while we go have all the fun.

We found Camp Bow Wow and loved the all-day play, large, individual cabins separated by actual walls with cots, luxury suites with 24/7 camera viewing for longer stays, the ability for dogs to run inside and outside freely, and that all the dogs must pass an interview before coming to camp. We felt our pets were safe and well taken care of while we were gone! One stop shop was also a huge benefit - we can let the pups have fun at doggy daycare, board them for trips and get all their grooming done all in one spot. We started as customers and converted to owners we loved Camp that much! 

Our goal is to be the premiere, all-inclusive pet service experience in the local KC community providing your pups with fun, love and a safe environment. We look forward to meeting all of you!

Richard was born and raised in the UK and has settled in Kansas City recently after a move from Illinois. With over a decade in the pet care industry he brings lots of experience to the team, having run pet care facilities all over the country. He joined our Camp Bow Wow family and is very excited to meet all of our customers and help us continue being the premier pet care experience in Kansas City.

Hi I’m Ami. I have always been passionate about pets and dogs in particular. When I was a little girl, I fell in love with my grandpa’s dog, Suzie. I would dress up and pretend to groom her at age 7. This love and passion led me to a career that still excites me to this day. I have been a Professional Groomer for 27 years, 21 of those years as a Master Stylist. In addition to loving dogs and the art of Grooming I have spent over 20 years of my Career in the Pet Industry in Boarding/Care/Training Leadership Roles.

When I’m not working I spend my spare time with my husband, daughter and our 4 dogs, 2 turtles and a cat. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Camp Bow Wow Pack and look forward to meeting all of our furry friends!

Amy is an Alabama native putting roots down in Missouri. Amy has always wanted to work with dogs. After her move to Missouri, she landed herself at CBW Lee’s Summit as a Camp Counselor in March 2022. From there she quickly became a Team Lead and is now Camp’s General Manager. She loves Camp, the pups, and their parents and feels like she’s found her calling and living her dream come true working at Camp every day! Not far from Amy, you can always find her pup Keko exploring and making friends in the CBW pack! 

Meet Mikayla, our Assistant Manager at Camp Bow Wow! With two years of experience in the Camp Bow Wow community and now a valuable member of our Lee’s Summit location, she brings her passion for dogs to life every day. Mikayla's love for dogs runs deep, her own pup was a foster from Camp that she couldn’t resist adopting! Mikayla keeps the energy high and laughter flowing in all her interactions, making sure every Camper feels right at home

Meet our talented groomer with 8 years of experience, who brings a splash of passion and expertise to every pup.  Not only is she an AKC evaluator, but she also actively participates in dog sports like conformation, rally, fastcat, dock diving, and barn hunt!  She skillfully manages her pack of 7 dogs—including a poodle, smooth fox terrier, Hungarian mudi, border collie, husky, shepsky, and a lovable mutt. Whether working with seniors or the most spirited pups at their first grooming session, she's dedicated to providing personalized advice on coat care to ensure each grooming experience is as smooth as can be!
