  • Mark, RaeAnn & Jodie, Ken Owners

    Jodie Nelson and Mark Jarvis are a dynamic sister and brother team who were raised on a ranch in Missouri. They have both worked with animals most of their lives. Now married with families, Jodie and her husband Ken, and Mark and his wife RaeAnn have owned Camp Bow Wow Sandy since July of 2021.

    Mark is a retired police detective/K-9 handler with over 19 years' experience working with and training dogs. His love of dogs and training led him to the Camp Bow Wow franchise opportunity. Raeann enjoys helping at camp and loves being a mom and grandmother. They cherish time with family and recreating in the great outdoors!

    Jodie has experience with the public in banking, schools, insurance and home health industries. She and Ken moved from Brigham City to join forces with Mark and RaeAnn in opening Camp Bow Wow Sandy. Ken retired as a quality Engineer from Northrup Grumman in 2022. He and Jodie have 6 children and 15 grandchildren. They enjoy time spent with family and the amazing people and dogs they’ve met since opening the camp.

  • Geal Mangelson Marketing Scout
    Geal (Jill) has been our Marketing Scout for almost two years. She has many years of Marketing and Communications experience. She enjoys being part of our great Camp Bow Wow Sandy Team as well as getting to know pet parents and their beloved pups.  Geal has a great love for music and plays the guitar and piano. Her hobbies include reading, travel, learning new things, writing and most sports.  She loves to waterski.  Her dog and cat pets have all crossed the rainbow, but she looks forward to adopting in the future.
  • Chelsea Scantlin General Manager

    We are pleased to announce Chelsea Scantlin as our new General Manager. Chelsea has been with our Camp Bow Wow Sandy Team for three years and has added her dynamic personality and expertise as she has trained our team members and cared meticulously for our furry family members when they come to stay and play. She is currently working on her CCPDT and is pet first aid certified. She is also a Certified Phlebotomist and IV Technician for humans. Chelsea is a mom to a busy three-year-old. She enjoys spending time with family and the dogs. Her at home animal family includes a tri-pod dog named Doug, Voodoo the pup and two cats Chucky and Lilith.

  • Macy Grange Assistant Manager
    Macy is our fantastic Camp Bow Wow Sandy Assistant Manager.  She is on top of all details and is very warm and welcoming to our pet parents and their pups. She loves being with dogs and learning their personalities.  She is a talented cook and enjoys cross stitch and reading.  Macy has a seven year old Boston Terrier named Roo and a four year old Boston Terrier named Nova.  We are sincerely grateful for all she adds to our team and to our camp.
  • Tiger Jasmer Certified Dog Groomer
    Tiger has been grooming for eleven years and has been bathing dogs for three additional years prior. Her passion is the happiness of animals. She not only makes dogs beautiful, but she also volunteers as a foster for pups looking for their forever home. She has three dogs, three cats and two kids that call her mom and a husband too! In her spare time, she loves to read and snuggle with her furry friends and do fun projects with her daughters. Tiger can answer any questions you may have about the grooming needs of your dog including skin and coat issues. She is an amazing addition to our Camp Bow Wow Team!
  • Melissa Brown Camp Counselor
    Melissa Brown is a camp counselor.  She comes to us with eleven years of experience working at a Pet Emergency Clinic as well as eight years employed at “Doggin Around” in California. She has three furry and pedigreed family members, Sunshine, Shiloh and Blu, all golden retrievers who she says are great family pets.  Melissa loves dogs, crafts and she plays the trombone.  She raised four sheep in high school.  She appreciates the team atmosphere at Camp Bow Wow and enjoys interacting with the pup campers.
  • Nate Davis Camp Counselor
    Nate loves his job and enjoys working with the dogs. He has always loved dogs and had a dog named Buddy until recently. Nate loves to play basketball and watch basketball, especially the Jazz. He competes in the Special Olympics in basketball and has won numerous gold medals with his team. He also loves to watch the Utes play football and goes to every home game. Nate usually has a smile on his face and is a wonderful addition to our Camp Bow Wow Sandy Team.
  • Kaitlyn Rauckhorst Front Desk / Camp Counselor
    Kaitlyn is a loving dog mom to Geddy the St. Bernard, Chorizo the Sheltie/Aussie, and Porkie the Pomeranian/Yorkie.  She was born and raised in Australia before moving to Utah in middle school. Kaitlyn is a graduate of the University of Utah and holds a major in business and a minor in theatre. She loves to read, crochet, and is always learning a new craft.  She enjoys hiking with her dogs and husband and is celebrating being newly married.  We are so happy to have Kaitlyn on our Camp Bow Wow Sandy Team!
  • Emily Bethers Camp Counselor
    Emily has been a wonderful Camp Counselor for almost two years. She loves dogs and appreciates the opportunity to work with them during her time at Camp. She is currently finishing school. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dogs Phoebe and Max, doing various crafts, and learning about animals. Emily is a terrific part of our Camp Bow Wow Sandy Team!
  • Tucker Summers Camp Counselor
    Tucker was born and raised in Sandy and has had many pets in his lifetime. He currently has two six-year-old bloodhound sisters from the same litter, Mavis and Margaux. He enjoys hanging out with his family. He loves to play video games with his brothers and card/board games with his sister. Tucker really enjoys getting to know so many dogs and their various personalities at Camp Bow Wow. They always make him smile. Tucker is a great employee and we sincerely appreciate all he does to keep things running smoothly!
  • Kennedy Kusch Camp Counselor
    Kennedy was born and raised in Idaho, but she has moved around different states and even lived in Dubai until October of 2024! She recently started fostering (and will soon adopt) her dog Bowie. In her free time, she likes to play music, mainly playing the bass and dabbling in the clarinet. You can often find her writing and reading, maybe even sleeping when she has the time! We are so happy to have Kennedy on our team!
  • Kaisen Turner Front Desk / Camp Counselor

    Kaisen has lived in Utah in multiple locations all of his 21 years. He loves animals but especially dogs since he's always had them in his life. He has a pug named Pepper that is by his side through rough times and positive times. He is currently a student at Salt Lake Community College in the radiology program and hopes to become a radiographer, eventually specializing in nuclear medicine. In his spare time Kaisen likes to hang out with friends and family and play games. His love for dogs brought him to our Camp Bow Wow Team and he has truly enjoyed getting to know all or our furry friends when they come to stay and play.  Kaisen has a great helping attitude and brings positive energy to the Team.

  • Salem Willis Camp Counselor
    Salem is very passionate about animals, and has been her whole life. In addition to her work with us at Camp Bow Wow , Salem is also a Veterinary Technician. She is dedicated to keeping pets happy and healthy, and her priority is always the safety and well-being of our furry family members when they come to play and stay. She loves to form bonds with every dog who comes to camp. We love her enthusiasm and the expert knowledge and care she provides. Salem is a great asset to our team!
  • Shelby Wagstaff Camp Counselor

    Shelby is currently a student at Salt Lake Community College and will transfer to Utah State University in the fall studying forensic psychology.  Her two pups are Kash and Cooper.  She has always had a love for dogs and is very happy to spend time with our pack at Camp Bow Wow Sandy.  We are so happy to have Shelby as part of our team!
